BIOGRAPHY
I’m a physical therapist with 28 years of clinical experience and currently manage a large multidisciplinary clinic in East Central Massachusetts. My career has been grounded in the community hospital setting, where I’m passionate about providing excellent care and supporting the growth of our caregivers—both professionally and personally.
My journey with the Academy of Leadership and Innovation began in 2019, when I enrolled in LAMP Leadership 101 at the encouragement of a former VP. That experience changed how I viewed myself as a leader and sparked a deeper commitment to helping others develop their own leadership paths. I completed LAMP 201 in early 2020 and later served as Chair of the LAMP Committee, where I saw firsthand how far-reaching the Academy’s impact could be—from clinical leadership and business strategy to equity and inclusion. Since joining the LAMP committee as faculty, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching our participants grow—often learning just as much from them as they do from us.
On a personal note, I’ve been married for 28 years and am the proud mother of two young adult children. Watching them grow in their own leadership journeys has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
STATEMENT
The Academy of Leadership and Innovation provides a powerful platform for growth, particularly as artificial intelligence and technology reshape the healthcare landscape. We support initiatives that foster safe, inclusive environments, engage diverse communities, and promote excellence in business strategy, clinical innovation, and people leadership. Yet, despite this important work, I believe the Academy remains underutilized and underrecognized within the APTA.
That’s where I hope to serve. I want to help the Academy strengthen collaboration across sections, special interest groups, and academies. Leadership plays a vital role in every aspect of our profession—from clinical care and team management to education and organizational culture. The Academy has the potential to be a unifying resource, fostering meaningful connections and sharing leadership strategies that elevate all members of the APTA community. By working together, we can amplify our collective impact and support one another in leading with purpose and vision.
With nearly three decades in physical therapy and clinic leadership, I’ve been fortunate to learn from many mentors and experiences along the way. I care deeply about helping others grow—whether that means building clinical confidence or exploring leadership potential. I’m grateful for what the Academy has contributed to my own journey, and I’m committed to giving back. I’m ready to listen, support, and serve—so others can find the same clarity, connection, and confidence that I did.
ALI's strategic plan highlights the importance of uniting all facets of the APTA through shared leadership principles. I’m committed to being a source of service in that vision—supporting integration, collaboration, and progress across our professional community.
