STATEMENT
During the past 3 years serving in the role of VP of the Technology in PT SIG, the role has provided me with the opportunity to engage with other clinicians who are also working in the field of technology or seeking new roles in the expanding field. These conversations continually evolve with the rapid evolution of technology and the conversation of the role of Physical Therapy in the adoption and leadership of implementation of technology in clinical practice. We have held 2 Shark Tank events in these past 3 years offering our membership the first hand experience of introduction of innovative ideas for clinical care provision. We have supported mentorship with colleagues in our membership and offered glimpses into how PT's move into roles in technology in our membership spotlights on the newly designed Technology SIG website. We are moving into the third Shark Tank to be held in November of 2025 and with it plan to increase membership engagement with the use of an APTA Community discussion board. It has been a privilege to hold the role and in consideration of continuing this office, I would seek to expand the supportive offering for our SIG membership and to expand the established presence of the Technology SIG within the APTA community.
