Susan Ropp serves as the Rehabilitation Services Manager for two critical access hospitals in northeastern Washington, leading a team of 33 caregivers across physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. With 42.5 years of experience as a physical therapist, Susan’s leadership journey began through mentorship early in her career, inspiring her deep commitment to professional involvement and advocacy.
She has actively contributed to the Administration and Health Policy Sections of the Academy, where she gained valuable resources and connections that supported her development as a PT supervisor and legislative advocate. Her leadership grew through service within the Washington Chapter and culminated in her current role as Director of Leadership on the LAMP Board.
As liaison to both the LAMP Leadership and Management programs, Susan has played a key role in developing curriculum and a certification exam for the Board Certified HealthCare Executive Credential. She credits mentorship—especially from Peter Kovaceck—as instrumental in her journey. Susan remains passionate about the future of the profession, expressing excitement for the rising generation of PT leaders and their growing visibility within healthcare leadership.
