Networking Opportunities
The Tech SIG Facebook group is to provide a forum
where persons having a common interest in technology may meet, confer, and promote these interests. Technology includes telehealth, computer based documentation, internets, intranets, clinical equipment controlled or operated
via computers, and computer based instruction. Telehealth is providing or supporting clinical care at a distance, distributing education for professionals and the public, conducting research, and managing administrative components
of health services.
There is no additional charge to be a member of the Technology in PT SIG (Tech SIG); however, you must be a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation (ALI).
Check out the TechnoPalooza Demonstration Videosfrom participating companies at TechnoPalooza 2024, part of ALI Fest, Friday, Feb. 16, 2024. Our goal and hope is that these give you an idea of what to expect at TechnoPalooza —and make your visit there even more of a hands-on learning experience!
Give this to your patients. Learn more about your customers/patients.
Please share results with your state chapter, the APTAand the APTA ALI Tech SIG so we can advocate, even more,
for the ability for Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants to provide Telehealth services when appropriate.
APTA would like to encourage PTs and PTAs to share their stories about using telehealth during this COVID-19 pandemic. Please consider sharing this link with others and urging them to share their story on APTA Engage.
These are two great ways to make a positive difference for our profession!
