Natalie is an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist treating both in the in-person and telemedicine setting, has been in the PT profession for nine years where she has worked as a Rehab Aide before starting and throughout PT school and is involved in the growth of the telemedicine department. The majority of her caseload are patients with temporomandibular disorders. Natalie also serves as Adjunct Faculty for the University of Pittsburgh PT Department and is involved in the APTA PA PAC.

She currently serves as the Academy Director of Membership and works closely with the Member Engagement and Awards Committee on their initiatives to maintain and grow membership and ensure our members are getting the most out of their membership.

Natalie joined the Academy after taking LAMP Leadership 101 as a student in 2015 and has been a member since. She loved everything her former professor and LAMP instructor, Deb Miller taught about leadership and management, and aspired to be like her as she entered her PT career. Learning that LAMP was housed in the then HPA Section and learning more about the section itself, Natalie realized it was going to be her home and offer unique resources and opportunities.

Advice for members: “Think about volunteering, whether in an official position or for a task in a group that interests you. Reach out to SIGs, Catalyst Group, or Committee Members to learn more and have a discussion. Take advantage of any learning opportunities provided. You'll find something and/or someone within that fits your interests and that will only lead you to more opportunities and connections."

Why the Academy? “The Academy is the driver of growth, development, and opportunity within the PT profession, through innovation, advocacy, and leadership. You need the Academy and the Academy needs you. It is the home for all in the PT profession, no matter one's role, practice setting, career path, background, interests- there is something for everyone."
