Member Spotlight: Dawn Magnusson PT, PhD, Associate Professor

Dawn Magnusson, PT, DPT, serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado, where she holds a multifaceted role overseeing the program's professional development, health promotion, and wellness content. Additionally, she directs the MPT-MPH dual degree program in conjunction with the community and global health programs.

Dawn actively participates in the Global Health SIG and the Population Health SIG. With nearly 20 years as a tenured member, she values the extensive networking opportunities provided by the organization, both personally and professionally.

What are you excited about regarding the future of the academy and the PT profession as a whole? "Our health system and profession are rapidly evolving. I think the academy will play an important role in helping members not only survive, but to thrive!"
