STATEMENT

As a recent DPT graduate and member of the LGBTQI+ community, I strive to utilize my skills and knowledge to create a more diverse and inclusive profession. In addition to feeling professionally and personally motivated by the prospect of working with this organization, the mix of leadership and organizational experience in my background makes me well-prepared for this position. I have extensive experience in leadership roles and working with diverse groups to achieve a common goal. As a logistics manager for my service learning group at Regis University, I helped design and coordinate two gear and wellness fairs for Colorado Village Collective, delivering 40+ care kits to its residents while overseeing 50 undergraduate nursing students. Additionally, I held formal leadership roles as APTA Colorado SSIG University Rep, Regis University Pediatric SIG Co-founder, and Regis University's Move Forward Race Outreach Co-manager. Before Regis, I spent eight years as a lacrosse coach, program director, and board member for various programs across the state of Oregon, cultivating my ability to communicate effectively with members from diverse backgrounds. I take pride in having a growth-oriented mindset, being an enthusiastic team player, and eager to take on new challenges. I have had the opportunity to learn from diverse colleagues and employers. I would be delighted to bring my creative problem-solving and proactive social energy to the SIG.
