Description

The healthcare delivery system and its stakeholders are seeking to improve health outcomes. The advancement of research, development in the technology sector and evidence-based practice guidelines have helped to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of interventions. However, in the U.S., healthcare providers are the 3rd leading cause of death and lack of teamwork contributes to 68.3% of preventable medical errors. Miscommunincation, lack of role clarity, hierarchal control, and poor teamwork among health professionals are some contributing factors to this statistic.

This webinar will provide introductory information regarding

  • Interprofessional education (IPE)
  • Interprofessional collaboration (IPC)
  • National and international efforts supporting IPE and IPC

This webinar will be 30 minutes in length.
