About the Webinar:

Listen in on a fascinating discussion by David Putrino as he explores the current state of innovation in rehabilitation. With a goal to decrease the average 17-year timeline for research to move into common practice, innovation is a necessity. Even more, dissemination of innovation is a must. Using case studies from Mt. Sinai and elsewhere, David will describe challenges and opportunities each of us encounters each day. He will build upon snippets from his recent book titled ‘Hacking Health’ to discuss how we can implement new technologies into clinical practice. He will share first hand experience from multiple team members perspectives so we can learn how to lead innovative projects in our care setting.
As we look at the future of physical therapy, this webinar is a ‘must listen’ for every physical therapist, assistant, and student. Innovation is at the core of the future of our profession and this webinar offers an opportunity to learn how we can be leaders in this process, each and every day.

Objectives:
By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:
1. Provide an overview of the current state of practice for pragmatic use of novel technologies in the field of rehabilitation and the general funding and political landscape surrounding this issue.
2. Identify the main challenges related to mainstream adoption and efficacy of novel technologies that aim for restoration of neurological function
3. Learn how to identify promising technologies and opportunities to innovate in your day-to-day practice and work environment
