ALI Community Grant

The 2025 cycle of Community Grant proposal applications are now closed.

ALI Community Grant Description: The purpose of the APTA Academy of Leadership & Innovation Community Grant Program is to stimulate, encourage, and support activities by Academy members that improve the health of our clients and communities by funding programs that address unmet needs in the community related to the APTA and Academy missions. Central to this grant program is a belief that communities possess unique assets and ideas for solving their own health-related challenges. Thus, Academy Community Grant recipients must work in partnership with at least one community organization or public agency. Marginalized communities that are most impacted by health inequities are a priority. A list of previous recipients and description of selected projects is available.

Grant applicants are encouraged to watch the free webinar entitled “What Do I need to Know to Get a Poster, Platform, or Grant Proposal Accepted by APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation?” prior to submitting their proposal.

Application Procedure:

ALI members receiving funding from this grant will be expected to report their findings at a Combined Sections Meeting within three years of receipt of funding and serve a three-year term on the Academy Research Committee beginning in February of the year following the grant award.

For further information you may contact the ALI Research Committee Chair.
